Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using PurityIQ (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AR Company ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of service

PurityIQ is a food safety information app that allows users to scan product barcodes and view pesticide and glyphosate residue risk information derived from government and third-party datasets. Data sources include the Environmental Working Group (EWG), Florida Healthy, Canada CFIA, and the USDA Pesticide Data Program. Legal tolerance thresholds are sourced from EPA 40 CFR §180.

3. Informational purposes only

The information provided by PurityIQ is for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, nutritional guidance, dietary recommendations, or a guarantee of food safety. We are not a food safety regulator. Do not use PurityIQ as the sole basis for any health or dietary decision. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.

4. Data accuracy and limitations

We make reasonable efforts to source data from credible, government-backed sources and to display it accurately. However:

• Residue data reflects testing results from specific testing periods and may not represent current product formulations.
• Not all products in our database have been tested for all pesticides.
• Absence of residue data does not imply a product is free of pesticides.
• We do not independently test food products.
• Data is updated periodically and may lag behind the most recent government releases.

We disclaim all liability for decisions made based on information provided in the App.

5. Subscription and payment

PurityIQ offers a subscription service with the following options:

• Annual plan: $9.99/year
• Monthly plan: $0.99/month
• Founding member pricing: $4.99/year (limited pre-launch offer)

All subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store in-app purchase systems. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.

6. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly through reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly. Founding member pricing is non-transferable and non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

7. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App.
• Misrepresent PurityIQ data as your own or as independently verified test results.
• Use automated systems to scrape or harvest data from the App.
• Interfere with the App or its associated servers or networks.

8. Intellectual property

All content, trademarks, data compilations, UI design, and software in PurityIQ are owned by AR Company or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the App without our prior written consent. Government data displayed within the App is sourced under applicable public access policies; we do not claim ownership of underlying government datasets.

9. Third-party data sources

PurityIQ incorporates data from third parties including EWG, Florida Healthy, Canada CFIA, and the USDA. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by these organizations. Their data is used under applicable public access and licensing terms. We are not responsible for errors or omissions in third-party datasets.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AR Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Nassau County, New York.

13. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
